The Dreamweaver Forum
A fantastic resource of DW users and experts. You can search this extremely active and friendly forum to see if your question has already been answered, or post new messages. There are a few different ways to go about it...

Use your email / news reader program to view and post:
This direct method allows you to see messages very soon after they're posted and you can save them in the same way as email. Add forums.macromedia.com to the list of news servers in your news reader program (e.g. Outlook) and subscribe to the macromedia.dreamweaver group. Look under Help in your program for detailed instructions on how to do this.

View messages, search the archive and post online without using your own software:
http://webforums.macromedia.com/dreamweaver
http://groups.google.com
Search for relevant topics or sign up if you want to post queries. You access the same information as you would with a news reader but messages take a few hours to reach the websites so it's not the best method for posting.

Books:

In general the Visual Quickstart books by Peachpit Press are excellent for getting going from a beginners level.

After that, the web range by O' Reilly offers more detail and covers intermediate to advanced ground.

For dynamic Dreamweaver features and more advanced guidance, the Tools of the Trade books by glasshaus are recommended.
