Fireworks
Course Description

Developing the skills necessary to optimise and format images for the web, create animated images and convert graphic based layouts into fully functional, interactive web pages.

Fireworks is a graphics package made by Macromedia, primarily used for generating images for the web. Its support of vectors allows graphics to be edited and scaled without a reduction in image quality, but it also handles photographic images and offers a pixel-editing mode and image adjustments for colour and tonal control. The animation feature is commonly used to create banners. There is also a slicing feature which allows a whole layout to be designed, then cut up into images and exported as a web page.

If the aims or topics you require are not listed in this description, please contact Christina to see if the training can be adapted to include them.
