| Developing the skills
necessary to optimise and format images for the web, create
animated images and convert graphic based layouts into fully
functional, interactive web pages.
Fireworks is a graphics package made by Macromedia, primarily
used for generating images for the web. Its support of vectors
allows graphics to be edited and scaled without a reduction
in image quality, but it also handles photographic images
and offers a pixel-editing mode and image adjustments for
colour and tonal control. The animation feature is commonly
used to create banners. There is also a slicing feature which
allows a whole layout to be designed, then cut up into images
and exported as a web page.
If the aims or topics you require are not listed in this
description, please contact Christina to see if the training
can be adapted to include them.
