HTML Basics
Course Description

An introduction to the essentials of web building using HTML, focusing on technical skills and good practice.

HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) is the language used to create web pages. It is logical, follows simple rules, requires only a basic text editor such as Notepad and isn't hard to learn. Although some good authoring packages now exist which reduce the absolute necessity of writing your own HTML code, it is still widely regarded as a very valuable skill. Authoring packages create code automatically and sometimes this leads to mistakes or unexpected results. Without HTML knowledge it is hard to fix troublesome pages or extend pages with features beyond the limitations of the software.

This course may be extended to two days if required, see Day One course topics for HTML intermediate.

If the aims or topics you require are not listed in this description, please contact Christina to see if the training can be adapted to include them.
