necessary to optimise and format images for the web, create
animated images and convert graphic based layouts into fully
functional, interactive web pages.
ImageReady is a graphics package made by Adobe, designed
to be used for generating images for the web. It comes bundled
with Adobe Photoshop (versions 5.5 and above), and contains
many of its sister program's famously excellent pixel-editing
and image adjustment tools. There is a slicing feature which
allows a whole layout to be designed, then cut up into images
and exported as a web page. The animation feature is commonly
used to create banners.
