Photoshop Introductory Level
Course Description

An introduction to the basics of digital imaging, painting, collage, image manipulation, building creative and technical skills.

Photoshop is the industry leading graphics package, made by Adobe. It is invaluable for print and web work and has excellent pixel-editing and image adjustment tools, effects filters, text editing and layer options. Photoshop has an amazing array of features but it is not difficult to learn the basics and begin to produce professional looking artwork.

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Make selections of areas in an image
  • Use paint tools and options
  • Apply fills and strokes
  • Resize images and the canvas size
  • Create a layered image
  • Edit and apply effects to layers
  • Add text to images
  • Adjust colours and contrast in an image
  • Rotate and distort parts of an image

Suitable for delegates who wish to manipulate and create images either for print or web application.

Prerequisites: Familiarity with basic computer skills, on either Windows or Mac platform.
